We were living on Long Island, NY when we knew we needed to rescue a pup from the local shelter. It didn’t take long before we spotted this tiny black pup. We picked her up and she immediately started talking to us. We got kisses but not at first. It took her a moment to warm up. she was hesitant at first. Well, long story short, we filled out all paperwork and took her home. She was perfect! Maggie is a sweet, loving black lab mix. She still talks a lot. She sometimes sounds scary but she’s only letting you know she loves you! She’ll be 12 years young in January and still the best decision we’ve made to rescue our girl
We had moved to FL and we knew we needed a sibling for Maggie. It had to be a rescue. There are so many animals in the shelters that need a family, a home to be loved and to give love! We found Molly and she was so timid. We took her home and she met her big sister and fell in love! Today Molly and Maggie are bonded in a very special way. Molly has completed our family and if you ask both my husband and I, they both rescued us!
I tell everyone, find it in your heart to go to your local shelter and find your new family member! You won’t be sorry. The love they have to give us is incredible! Each one will be so happy and grateful to you!!!!
